Are new amps junk?

I think everybody wants cheap power, and that takes sacrifices. Companies build to the market. I think alot of people couldn't tell the difference in alot of amps as well, cars are noisy, and for those that don't deaden and just want loud the need for insanely clean specs just isn't needed. Also underrated amps...big deal. So a 50w rated amp does 400. Why does that make it better than a 500w amp that does 480?

I do agree that oldschool was definately more quality and more American pride in the product...but the current caraudio market doesn't seem to support that level of quality anymore. Add on that every industry is offshoring, and we are just bound to get some budget built products. Just be happy they don't have lead paint on them like your kids toys do.

I'd hope zeds new stuff isn't junk though...not really that expensive either.

i think perhaps he thinks ur looking at the wrong places for SQ amps. Just cuz the old brands aren't there anymore doesn't mean there aren't SQ amps out there. U just gotta look at the right brand, the old brands are not like they used to be anymore
The old brands are now just names...bought out by large corporations that don't care about quality, they just wanted to badge their products with a name that HAD a good product.
