That's How I Roll
Hey guys,
My friend has concerns about his internet connection not being up to speed when pertaining to online gaming (xbox live in paticular). Location is in Orlando Fl. and the isp provider is brighthouse road runner cable 10 meg down and 1 meg up. Whenever he runs a speedtest it messures above 8 meg down and 940kb up. speed test done through http://www.speedtest.net or http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
He was interested in getting a better router, i think he has descent grade netgear that a best buy rep recomended. In my oppinion i think the Dlink DGL-4100 or Dgl-4300 is the best choice for online gaming. I run on Charter Communications here in spartanburg SC normally running 5 meg down and 1 meg up w/ 2-3 xbox's online with my computer on and experience lag only when being matched with someone who can not support other's players connections. i am only running a dlink DL-604 My modem is a motorolla SB5120 not sure what he is using. Any info would help thanks
