Alarm/Keyless Entry No Longer Working

I have a 1995 Honda Civic with an alarm/keyless entry system. This system worked fine until I decided to remove the old cd receiver. After doing this the alarm stopped working because the alarm was powered off of the stereo's red power wire. So now I went to install the new stereo and attached both wires to the power wire and now for some reason the alarm/keyless entry only seems to work when the key is on the on position. Does anyone have any idea on how this can be solved or has anyone had the same or similar problem? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

YOu need to keep the old reciever in the dash somewhere hidden with a special wireing harness to retain keyless entry capabilities, any more quesitons email me at nosaj070@hotmail.com i've installed 3 of these in civics

dude what happened was you connected it to the acc. power wire, instead of the 12v batt. wire that it should be on

I actually tried both wires, yellow, and red. Neither of them worked.
