Alan Dante does 144 dbs...

a watt is a watt is a watt. Lots of reliable power will get anyone loud if they can install. Stetsom amps certainly aren't magic. (I don't care what Kmanian says)
IT'S MAGIC, DAMIT HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT!!!!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Here is the first thing that you need to accept when you start SPL: Not everything can be considered for using a simple equation.

I am an EE student and I've had 5 semesters of calculus. However, I use VERY basic math when working with my system. All that I really use is algebra for designing boxes and calculating ohm loads. Everything else comes from testing.

could someone direct me to a post that might explain the watt db math? help me out.
According to theory:

double power = 3db gain

10x power = 10db gain

as has been stated several times in this thread alone, this doesn't actually work in the real world and you will always gain less than the estimated amount unless there are other factors affecting it (which there always are) and you could realistically gain 1db, or gain 4 or 5, or none, only trying it and measuring will tell.

i think cars doin 160's in the WHOLE cabin without conrete and shit are more impessive esp at lower hz levels that arent just the resonant:cool:
My team will be there soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Currently we are doing a 154.5 sealed on the dash with about 2000w and (4) Deka batteries dropping to 10 volts. This is also w/o an alternator:)
