So are you saying you are making the same mental error as the people in that thread?
Isn't the problem obvious? They are using the efficiency rating for a RAW speaker and then calculating it out to find output levels when INSTALLED. Get it? They are not accounting for system efficiency (box+environment+install tricks).

I'm not calling him a lier but I would have to video of that with the amp clamped and the TL in the picture at the same time.
what reason does he have to lie, he's already the loudest guy in the world. regardless, 99.9% of people on here could not even dream of pulling a 170 let alone a 180.

the OP in that thread doesn't grasp the concept of efficiency numbers of speakers not being applicable in the real world. if you read the 7th post down, alan dante states what his extreme vehicle does IN THE REAL WORLD from 1-74,000 watts.

EDIT: Actually, I failed with the title. He does a 141 with 1 watt. My apologies.

Like I said I am not calling him a lier, I just need to see it with my own eyes to believe it. I don't care if he is the loudest man on earth or Jesus.

The efficiency rating + res freq. x 1watt = 144db?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I saw him in person at SBN last year and he did not look Brazilian or short. I thought he was from Europe somewhere....
