Aiwa or Jensen

actually, the aiwa stuff istn half bad...

tehy are just not overly well known in teh caraudio world, but do make some good decks...

they are a decent budget deck, the jensens are too...

also, look at blaupunkt..... they make great entry level HU's...

You are right....if you cant afford anything else they are ok....I would take a low end Alpine or Pioneer before a "high end" Aiwa or Jensen.

Lol, I gotta laugh, you guys are gonna ask me, " What the hell is a high end Jensen hed unit? "

a HU is a HU.....

true, extra features, preout voltages, and basic sq is importntat to hard cores, but when using extra amps, the RMS of the Aiwa or Jensens may not be as high, but who cares?

they are simplistic, easy to use, and cheap...

so... for an everyday driver, not into competition, why not go with them??

Yeah, if you arent into competing, dont want to spend a lot on a head unit, or you just dont see the need for a high quality head unit...I say go with these brands. I just simply like Alpine, Pioneer, etc. because of the great looks, endless feature list, and I could care a less about their watts per channel because I always have a tendancy to amp my speakers;) But your right, a head unit is a head unit.
