Air space = air space no matter what the box design is? Is this correct? An 8cf box with more than 6 sides be okay?

it is fine. as long as the openings into the other sections of the box are large enough to aedequatly vent.

Depending on size though and shape, the air might not even reach some the box.

Thank you sir! I though this forum was dead. Looks like I'll have t make a new design. Not going with an 18 but instead adding another 15. Looks like I ma have to take out the front seat and slide the box into the opening behind the back seats.
