air leak from sub cutout being too big....ways to seal it?

make another mounting bracket out of 3/4" mdf with the right sized hole that fits the sub snug and mount that over the old hole and be sure to glue it on there and put pressure on it or screw it or both

if its not that bad, 1/4" thick x 3/4" wide weather stripping will usually seal up areas like that. it had adhesive on one side and not on the other, use the adhesive side on the box. It can be stretchy, make sure you leave enough slack so it doesnt shrink.
