I asked the seller on Amazon that exact same question.

Here is HIS answer "The frequency response and the output filters are different. The Bass and MD series have different tones, so the sound output will be different"

I bought it because it draws 209 amps max consumption and the md5000 draws 245 amps max.

Bass is rated at 14 volts and 40hz
MD is full range
Bass is not
MD can run up to 16 volts
Bass line can run up to 17 volts
MD line should not be ran under 1 ohm
Bass line can run under 1 ohm.


BTW buying from Amazon you are not going to get a Warranty.

Hey man I got a question. The power and ground have 2/0 inputs right but im using my 1/0 to 4 ga reducers as seen in the pic. Is that a bad idea? Should I remove the reducers(voltage is fine)? I feel you almost get a better connection because it's so nice and tight with the reducers.
