AHHHH!!!! Whats wrong with my sub!!??!!??

now am I looking at a single voicecoil, or is that 2, or 4 or can it be any of the above...
UPDATE: just went out to the car and pushed down on the cone..and YES, IT MAKES A SCRATCHING SOUND. So this means it reached its mechanical limit, and the coil came un-wound right?

I g/g make a run and pick up some hardware... be back in an hour.

Thanks for the help guys... This sh*t stressed me the F0ck out.
or you pushed on 1 side ?

scratching sound is no indication of damage if you dont push evenly in the centre.

i can make a perfect sub scratch by pushing on 1 side

ok...so first of all... I pushed on the cone again, and it did only scratch cause I didnt push it in the middle... got the same sound of the other one, so sry to whoever mentioned that I may have done that, cause thats what it looks like I did.. Besides that...

Here is what I tested.

So I have no idea what is goin on... Might just be the new box, and I am not used to it NOT having the low end power, or the new cd I was playing might have had shitty quality... (was one I burned from a download on the "Bass thread" that someone posted like 10 pages ago

bump.. any more ideas?? think it was just the sound of a different box...and the weird sound I heard was the spider slapping for a second, and nothing really happened?
it is feasible.....run them more, try different sources, and see if there are any differences

Please help, no experience in strange sounds coming from subs
I was bumpin on the way to work today, and there was a song playing with a bass sweep in it from high to low....when it went down low, I noticed a loss in low end power, and sounded like the sub was slapping for a second or 2... Now my system is running at about 85%... The subs still plays, but it makes a sound as if something was rattling around inside it....

Does this mean I blew the sub, or blew a voicecoil......other?????
voltage drop? / + or clip

I thought my type rs where making noises too on the lows. But after i investigated further turned out it was just my trim panels in the back of my tracker. Don't think this will help but hope everything turns out good for you.
