12 JL w7 vs. 15 Re SX vs. 15 SS RL-p

So heres the deal:

Ive been MIA from the car audio scene for quite a while.

I have a 97 bmw e36 328i and im looking to put in a single subwoofer set up.

Thing is that i want to keep as much of my trunk as possible.

I have my alpine 9835 HU in now and id want a ported enclosure.

I currently have an orion 1200D that runs 1200 @ 1 ohm.

As for my electrical, im not sure about its efficiency or strength.

And can i even fit a 15 with its proper enclosure size in my trunk?

Looking for SQL, but more on the SPL side.

FORGET THE W7..

how about a 15 Fi BL? i dont know much about this brand, but its description sounds like what i want. any comments on this driver?

The 15 Re SX sounds good, but how big of an enclosure would be needed without sacrificing my trunk space? I always wanted to try out an RE driver.

As for the 15 SS RL-P, i do not really know much about the RL-p, but from what i heard these are great drivers. The 15 is kinda pricey to me for not knowing much about it. Thats why im here.

ALSO.. i was brainstorming and i was thinking that maybe id even be able to put a pair of 8" subs in the rear dash, but i do not know what output to expect.

These 3 subs are the ones that stuck out to me because ive heard of these on many occasions.

Which one of the three should i go with? if neither of them, what would you guys recommend? Am i better off with a pair of 12s possibly type rs?

Thanks in advance.

This is a competition between the SX and RL-P only. Both will be quite louder than a 12W7, and the RL-P will be the cleanest of the bunch. I've owned both SXs and RL-Ps, and have built and designed more W7 enclosures than I have fingers and toes. It isn't even fair.

ok so im torn between the SX and RL-P..

im looking for SQL leaning much more heavily towards SPL. Basically im really looking for SPL that does not sound like crap.

after researching, im somewhat discouraged about the RL-P because some of the past threads talk about its lack of output and how it is more towards SQ than SPL.

if i do go with the RL-Ps would 2 12s be better than 1 15 both in ideal enclosures receiving about 1200watts?

which of the two (rlp or re sx) would be louder in their ideal enclosures?

i just want to know whether 2 12s rl-p or sx would be better than 1 15 both in ideal enclosures receiving about 1200watts?

ok. i was browsing on the Fi site and i was looking at the 15" BL.

Would this driver suit my needs?

So what would you guys recommend between these 15" drivers: Re SX, Fi BL, or SS RL-p?

Any comments greatly appreciated.

yeah, i realized that earlier today.. i was thinking about 3.5 cubes around 32-34hz..

does that sound about right?

and i do plan on removing the rear speakers, so what would you guys recommend the sub and port face?

The RL-P isn't an extremely loud sub, but in the right box you can still get quite a bit amount of output while retaining better SQ than the SX's could provide at those volume levels.

As suggested above, I'd also recommend the Q over the BL for your application if you go with Fi.
