Ahh Subs Destroyed What Happened?

The damage is definately from the surrounding environment somehow. I've seen blown cones similar to the mystic before from too much xmax excursion. The orion on the other hand, I've only seen physical damage to that extent from physical damage to something rubbing the cones. One other possibility that may have happened, if you replaced the surround on the speaker yourself, it's possible it may not have been centered correctly allowing for too much give in that area of the cone. I believe the Orion XTR is a paper cone making them weak to "whiplash" damage. Do you know which driver was damaged first or if your discovery was both?

well let see maybe these things contributed

1) youre running difirent subs

2)youre running difirecnt amps

3) who know how the hell its wired

4)you messed with the surround of a sub

5)the dust cap was messed up

6)the whole god **** install
