last time i checked, a spider lifting from a coil does not mean that the speaker is ruined.
a spider never glued to the coil from the factory may be a little worrysome. a spider tearing is a problem. a spider detaching from the landing might make me inquire for a recone, but a spider detaching from the former? well, unless the entire thing tore off - id hardly say thats that. because even if 50% of the spider detached from the former, you can still reglue the damn former to the spider with some CA and more likely than not it will be within tolerances. hell. why didnt you just take the damn basket off, make a shim out of some damn cardboard notebook binder cover stuff - shuv it in the gap, put the basket back on, and glue it down. i mean, hell...
