Abuse doesnt do that kinda damage, and rebuilding it will still be shitty because the parts TC uses is like 4 years old and mechanically indeaquate for the driver geometries. I swear no one reads older TC threads and figures out that what ive said was true. i have 4 5200's right now (2 with custom baskets) ans SEVERAL other Tc sounds woofers And if you really want to get into it.. the 5200 and the 5400 are aimed at totally different purposes. And as has been discussed- you can get a 5200 top onto the 5400 motor (but if you do you have to ask for a 5200 qca ring.. different thread pitch and all. but if you do that, you will lose bl because of the HUGE gap on the 5400 motor (sense that seems to be SOO important to you), lose the advantages of the lms tech (as the tech is in the coil) and increase distortion.. gee.. sounds good and again- apparently you didn't READ the typing.. just looked at the pics. The former lifted from the coil (a factory defect) so it was done for anyways. abuse isn't going to cause that. please.. read more thoroughly
