aftermarket stereo, no antenna signal

I just put in a new alpine 9885 HU in my 02 civic lx coupe and I can't pick up any radio stations. I'm heard the harness that comes with the HU does not have a power antenna connection, so you have to connect your new receiver's power antenna wire to your vehicle's power antenna connection. This confused me because there was a blue wire labeled "tenna" that I connected to the blue wire on my harness adapter. Did I do something wrong?

Did you plug the antenna wire into your HU? That blue wire is for the power antenna motor, to make it go up and down when the radio is on/off. It isn't the antenna signal itself.

I have a TERRIBLE radio signal with my 9855 too. I have the antenna wire hooked up and the blue wire, but get crap for radio signals.

any other tips would be good.
