Aftermarket HU, factory amp and speakers - what should I upgrade first?

I have a 06 civic exn currently it has a sub in the back, factory amp and speakers.

Was thinking about purchasing some crescendo PWX first, or would an amp be more important?

also whats the difference between 4 ohm and 8 ohm speakers?

I always went Headunit first. Then amp and speakers at the same time.

4 ohm and 8 ohm is the impedance level...depending on how someone may use the speakers and their goal with the audio setup...they can have more wiring options with 8 ohm vs 4 ohm...let's say u see a door with 8 speakers in it...depending on their amp rms...they make go 8 ohm to have add many speakers to a channel as possible while maintaining a certain ohm load to the amp...same can be done with 4 ohm just depends

Let me give you a reason why. Sorry should have put this in my original response.

It's a great starting off point. You need for your amps also.. When I put my deck in a 2010 Jetta, the factory speakers sounded so good I didn't take them out for almost a year. So it might suprise you.
