Aftermarket Alternator Honda Accord 2010-2012

I'll check a little later. Also, what's the voltage when the alt goes to sleep? One of the master techs in my area was trying to shoot me in the direction of JL gear. Maybe that's why?
Whatever your battery is at. So 12. But you add a system and it's gonna go lower. Idk if the alt kicks in if you drop below 12 when using a audio system.

I have an older accord but it still has the eld. if you run your a/c,headlights,heated seats,or use your power windows it runs the alternator. luckily in new york its either hot as hell or cold so a/c or heated

seats works for me.i imagine you could run your headlights and be fine

What year? The only things I can use are my headlights, rear defroster or heat. My heated seats don't trigger it. I wish they did.

Its a 2003 v6 ex-l. I can see my voltage jump back up when I turn on my heated seats. I know there is a way to bypass eld on my car not sure on yours. I work for honda so I will check with a few techs tomorrow for yours.

Sweet. Thanks. I have read that thread about it. I like that I control it though. Saves the alt when I'm not going crazy with the volume

Sorry man does not look like too many easy ways around it with out having the charging system malfunction indicator on. apparently its not as easy as the old hondas

Thanks for checking dude. Hmm.. how about putting in a HO alt but treating it like I'm doing now? Would the benefit of having a bigger alt still help more than not having it?

I dont see why not. I have a 240a mechman in my honda without doing the eld bypass running close to 4k without issue. when i see my voltage drop i use one of the accessories and my voltage jumps back up. if i know im gonna be hammering on it i run my headlights the whole time.
