INthe last 3 years i have bought and sold amps subs and speakers like crazy from abuse, blowing, and just wanting something new, finally i have come to something that i can say settled on for a while because everything is to the quality at which i desire.....

in 1 week i will have everything togther.

-Panasonic 8300U 5v preouts w/ pimp HD dot matrix display. (boobs for a screen saver).

-Boss DVD deck + phoenix digital 7.2inch LCD w/ N64

-Diamond Audio M361 6.5 components (sounds sweet off the amp)

-Memphis 16-MC3004 75x4wrms @ 4ohm for th mids and highs (might add a midbass woofer eventually, no room right now.

-Resonant Engineering XXX 15 JUST RECONED

-9 cubic foot ported box (SQL design) tuned to 34Hz aimed DIRECTLY into the cabin of my 92' 4 door maxima, back seats fold down (after cutting them out lol)the sides of the box are sealed off to the trunk wall with great stuff and A.C. duct sealent tape for a great seal. (had to carve into the frame of the car just to get the the ****er to fit).

-Orion 1200D for the Sub

-2 optima red tops (ones 850cca other is 1000cca)

-1 monster cable 1 farad digital capacitor.

-4wg all around, might go to 2awg if needed.

-2 layers of dynomat all around the trunk (was good for when other subs were fireing into the trunk, but still helps to reduce rattleing for any air the breaks through the seal at the baffle.)

-stock 110amp alt. car is gonan die soon so hopefull y the next car will have a better Alt.

my goal is to hit as close to 150dB as possible but even if i dont it's all gravy, the SQ of the RE XXX 15 is perfect even in the ported box and it still gets insanely loud.....All in all about 2 grand was spent on this setup....

LMK what you guys think

Hopefully that's 9 cubic feet GROSS volume...even then...that's WAAAYYY too huge. I'd ditch the cap...but if you already have it might as well keep it i guess. You won't hit 150...not with it daily...mid 140s would be do-able. Sounds like a nice setup!

Congrats on getting settled in after 3 years though.

Do 0/1ga from the battery to the trunk. Use some fused distro blocks to split it up from there.

Don't forget your doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ya.....thats 9 cubs gross thank god...havent calculated the net volume inside but when i had it hook up to a 1500w rockford is slammed like a mofo.....

since the car doesnt havemuch life left in it i'm not going to bother with sound deadening the doors. As for pics, i'll repost ina week with pics and it'll be sweet. I realize 150 is a high goal but we'll see....

sounds more like an SPL oriented setup, dont know too many SQL people with 9cubes and no sound deadening in the doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

sound deadening aint even that expensive, just get some so your mids arent drowned out by the sub.

For sub, I recommend going true infinite baffle. You get to keep just about all of your trunk space AND sound great doing it (if you do it right.)...

I'm putting 2 under my rear seats with 2 passive radiators. Only a 3kw amp. Only reason I'm selling my adire subs before even trying them. Granted...
