I finally got a taste of a decent system. Mine. Maybe?

A few minutes ago i decided to drive down the blvd to show off my system and see how many cops i could pull towards me. As i left my parking lot, i cranked my system up all the way and listened to Relapse for a little bit and at first, it wasn't so bad. I then realized after about a minute into the song, i am either a pussy, or i finally have a pretty loud system. Even though my ears were going numb, and i couldn't feel the sides of my face, i kept listening. Driving through the pain, i steered into the walmart parking lot and parked. When i parked i realized that i was getting a bit dizzy. Nothing to go to the doctor about, but i could feel the Debeeez had given me an aggressive beating. So i turned down my system all the way for a minute to recover from the aching pain headache and looked for some tylenol. Popped the CD back in and started driving back to my house. On my way back i literally felt the need to vomit and almost gagged myself. Ok, i'm exaggerating a bit but you know that feeling...maybe. That was it, i couldn't handle it anymore. When i got on the highway i had had enough of the SPL and just turned the volume almost all the way down and safely made it back to my house. I guess i'm just a pussy who has never been around anything decently loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

actually dude, if you wouldnt have listened to it a long time while it was hella loud for so long, you would probly not have felt that bad. it does make you dizzy a bit if you try to tuff it out. to be honest its not a matter of even being tough dude, cause either way, you wont win. the body cant take being vibrated like that for too long. most people develop a thing they call, hearing loss. those ppl id imagine can go ahead and it wont bother them like it does a person that has all their hearing? see what i mean? if you cant hear it as well, you wont feel it as bad see what i mean? ive been beatin up a couple times too. im sure when i get my system hooked up and finished ill be getting my azz whooped on the daily lol

2+ years ago i took a ride w/ a friend of mine to RI to meet sum friends at the beach(about 1hr drive)... At the time i had 4 12" RE SXs off an RF 3k(did a 150.3), for 80% of the drive we had it on 3/4 volume or more listening to a bass mix of Jeezy, Lil John, 36Mafia.

My buddy was screaming for mercy after about 25min or so, but i was just fine for the entire drive. My body felt like jello when i got out from the vibrations the whole time. But my ears didn't bother me much, vision was ok, and i didn't have any nausea at all.

Before you say how my hearing must be destroyed, well you're wrong. I get my hearing eyes tested every year and its the same as everyone else, haven't done any serious damage to them at all. My body has simply gotten used to loud bass music, but if i go to a concert w/ screaming guitars my ears feel like they are on fire that night/following day.

OP have u ever heard anything louder than your own setup??

yeah dude. It kicked my ***. It was like a punch straight to the back of the head. I don't know how many db's i am hitting but for those of you who have 150+ db systems i wouldn't last 10 seconds.

What equipment are you going to use?

@ cobra: I've never heard anything louder than mine. i have heard louder substages, but nothing that made me feel the way i do when i get in my car. The highs had me fucked up.

Its all about what you've heard and what your body is used to hearing. I've had big wanna be tough guys go for demos in my explorer and hop out in 2 seconds. But then my cousin's GF(16, 5ft 105lbs) sat through "Hypnotize" and "Juice Box" on full tilt and loved it.

It weird, but certain people react in different ways to systems. But one thing i can tell you is that the louder you get and more exposed to loud systems...the more you get used to it and your ears get adjusted.
