Affordable amps?

How about we just stop telling people what they want to hear and be REAL with them? You go around recommending stuff thats not even tested yet.... Thats fine but you need to say it. "Here are some cheap pre-order subs, they might be good but knowbody knows yet. Or you might get one and lose your *** cause they ****" OR "here are some cheap amps but they are going to need many $s in electrical, might do close to rated clean, might blow subs cause they are dirty, or might not work out of the box" OR " you can spend a bit more and get this proven preformer"
i'll repeat myself the OP asked for affordable $250 amp that will do 2k

what did you recommend $479 amp and you are mad?

and here you go again with your "rated" claim

for electrical a big 3 and an extra battery at the back will suffice. and as long as you dont run the amp to the ground and make sure your voltage does not drop to below 12.5 it will work.

this kind of thing needs to stay in the dome. Ask questions about one's reasoning is ok, but do not start to make snide remarks.

Well the voltage is going to drop below 12.5 with a strong alternator. A extra battery wont stop that from happening. Its not about the rated, its about everything else. Say it does do 2000 watts. How long do you think it will do it after heat kicks in? With that cheap board and horrible cooling design how long do you think it will take before the heat takes over? Please look at the big picture, if you dont understand enough to see that picture just stop.

have you ran these amps before? if not then you need to STFU, why dont you suggest an affordable $250, 2k amp instead of bickering?

The BEST cheaper amps that do what they say and do it clean are Crescendo and AQ/SQ. There are others from even smaller compainies but they are not easy to come by. IF YOU GO REALLY CHEAP it will cost just as much in electrical to get them to make the power(if they even will) the better amps will make with less costly electrical. Most of the cheap amps wont do rated till 16v. Do it right the first time or you will be replacing amps costing even more in the end. if you cant save to do it right this is not the hobby for you. if thats the case just get some Type Rs and a solid MRP amp. Thats more then enough for 99% of the population, a good box will make them a loud, and reliable set up.
This this this fuck you stole the exact words out of my mouth..

OP take it from someone who's ran all the shit listed above. AQ and crescendo are the best quality "budget" amps, they do their rated power and don't use alot of power to do so.

Type Rs, and a Alpine MRP-1000, are always a great budget set up, my first set up was a 12" W7 on a alpine MRP 1000. Keep in mind they are only stable to 2 ohms. I had it wired at 1.5 and it took it like a champ, amp got hot sometimes but never went into protect.

OP, if I were you, I'd just do what 04murdalanche said - wait for a good deal and have the money ready for when one pops up. Even if you need to go used, amps can run for years and years if treated with some respect. Look in the classifieds, there are deals everywhere. Remember, it's better to find a good deal on a good amp, than to find a good deal on a bad one that may potentially need to be replaced.

I don't ever buy audioz new... Way too fucking over priced, the wait is usually ridiculous. I've only bought 1 thing new, my SA-8s, as it wasn't even from sundown it was from a guy who bought a shit ton from the yard sale. Everything I've bought in my system I've gotten so cheap, I've never paid anywhere near retail for any of my equiptment, sheit I've gotten a pretty **** good deal on everything lol

Keep an eye out for a 1500 - 2000w amp for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Audiopipe? Really? That's surprising, same with Power Acoustik. Rubicon is Soundstream right? I knew Hifonics, but is their newer stuff any good?
just to note.. as of like since 2008:

Soundstream, Power Acoustik, Kole, SPL, Precison Power ---> Epsilon electronics

Boss Audio, Planet Audio, SoundStorm ---> AVA Enterprises

for the most part..

was clarifying that soundstream and power acoustik aren't totally different companies. nothing wrong with them but build quality is totally different.

my 2 cents, also look into vvme amps, same as the audiopipes and usually slightly cheaper.

You guys are fucking retarded...
OP if you get lucky youll find a AQ 2200 around 250. Just gotta be patient and have $$ ready

Hell i'll come down on price to 300 shipped on my 2200 if people will stop spewing **** about flea market amps~
