Aero port question

Okay, I was just checking, as it is obviously easier to build a square shape, than an octogon shape....as I do not on a table saw, just a skill saw, and a jig saw. I'll eventually get it though.
Yeah just do a square port then. I wouldn't dare make anything like that with just a circular saw.

 
ive done some pretty complex stuff with a circular saw.. i think i could make an octo. i have a clamp style guide that i run the saw against. straight as a table saw.

Edit: ive been wood working since i was 13. but almost anyone could get the gist with a few practice cuts

Definitely doable. I just used a 48" level and 2 clamps at either end with my circular saw. Works close enough to a table saw. Obviously a table saw is preferred but you gotta work with what you got.
