Aero Port Help

Search 15 inch aero, or 15 aero or something else along those lines. You will find that you need more than 28 inches of port area for two fifteens, like way more. Once you figure the best port area for your subs, plug that into PSP and watch your port length grow......

Alright but how could I do the math myself? If I know the port area I needed it would help. I always hear people go "yeah you need a couple 4" aeros" but never say how long... I wonder why that calc is off too.
i use BBP6 as well as I just built one for 2 15" PSI subs. the box below is just over 8 cubes net with 6 full length 6" PSP aero ports and is tuned just under 30hz with a PV of 31m/s. it doesn't get much better than that.

Ok and how did you find the correct port area? The 9-13 square inches per box cubic foot rule?

i use BBP6 but aeroport rule of thumb is different. roughly 2" for .5 ft^3, 3" for 1ft^3, 4" for 2ft^3, 6" for 4ft^3. obviously this is just a general rule but you get the idea.
