im trying to make a 4^3 ft enclosure for my 2 type r's and should i also add in the displacement of the aero ports to that. and would that be counting the port as a cylinder volume as if it were not hollow.

so.

4^3 desired volume

1.4^3 subwoofer displacement

.??^3 + port displacement

-----------

5.???? gross volume

so is this how i want to get my 4^3ft? or is the gross volume just 4?

what im trying to say is that ive been told that 2 12" type r's need about 4-5^3 ft @32-35hz. this is my first box build so i wanna make sure i get it right. im shooting for 4^3 so would it be just 4^3 internal dimensions or would i have to add more to account for aero ports and sub volume
