I seen the new boxes at the car audio shop I think it was Pro Box. Huge a$$ box lined in fiberglass and then coverd with that spray-in bed liner stuff. Do any of you have any advice on these and would it be worth trying it out with my L7s? I mean this box is huge , ported and lots of air space. I have the room for it since I drive a SUV. Maybe you pro's can help. Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif ROCK ON !!!!

Also while I am asking questions, I have 2-12 L7s 4ohm in a ported box being pushed by a MTX 1501d. Should I have the DVC's wired up + to + or should I have them going from + to - ? I'm sure you all get asked this alot, but I want to know whats best for my set-up with this particular amp and the 4 ohm subs. I guess I am just being paranoid hearing all of these threads on blown solo-barics. The music I listen to is rock & roll mostly and heavy metal stuff. I don't kmow if that makes a diffrence or not it's also in a SUV, not in a trunk. I would appreciate any advice on this, Thanks.

To be honest with you, I have know idea. I am newby at all this. All I mkow is they are 12 inch L7's 4 ohm I guess in a standard solo-baric box. With the Mtx 1501d amp. I wish I did know more.

If you don't mind one more quick question. When wiring up in 4 ohm does it matter which voice coil number you go from + to - ? On these subs you probly know they are numberd #1 coil and # 2 coil. Do I run the + wire to the # 1 voice coil positive terminal and the - wire to the# 1 or # 2 voice coil terminal? And then I run the wire from the + to the - from which coil # to what coil #. Or does it even matter? You know what I trying to ask? I know the polarity I am just confused on whick voice coil #'s do I run the primary wire to and which ones do I run the second wire to. WHEW!!! I think I lost myself.

This is wired is series

This is wired in parallel

hehe the subs don't know anything... it doesn't matter in what order the VC is wired in. there isn't like a master VC and a slave VC. just make sure you follow the diagram and you will be golden. however, with 2 subs it's a bit different.

this might help
