Advice/Questions on amp

This is the first time i ever messed with a mono block two output amp. I bought a DIamond d61000.1 and might be having a problem. I know that there is 2 ouputs to simplify wiring. Reading the book, both of these outputs are wired parallel inside the amp. So i should be showing voltage on both outputs right? Im only showing voltage across 1 output. DOes this mean 1 output is bad? Im not too familiar with how this is supposed to work and would like to get it replaced if it is bad.

I have my sub wired on one output and that channel works fine. The box wasnt damaged and was packaged pretty well.

What happens when you hook a speaker up to said channel. In reality this doesnt REALLY matter. Lets say that terminal has a bad solder joint inside or what ever and is not connected. If you hook both speakers to the other terminal it is going to have the same effect.

i think i pretty much answered my question. Im going to contact the place i bought it and send it in for a replacement. I just dont want to be without subs for x amount of weeks. Gahhhh
