Advice on sub

Hey i have a volvo s60 2002

heres the situation, i don't want to use ANY trunk space for the subwoofers, so i was wondering if it would be a good idea to replace my 8' rear deck stock speakers with 8'' or 10'' free air subwoofer or a midbass(i know i will get lower frequencies with the sub).....What do you guys think i should do?

You can if you only desire a semblance of midbass on up.

You can build a little box that will fit underneath the rear deck, and just kinda hang there out of the way.

I'd do this option. Actually this IS what I'm doing. I need the floor space in my trunk, so it's my best option without ripping up the rear deck.

Or just swap out the rear 6x9's with these : Tang Band W69-1042J 6"x9" Subwoofer | Parts-Express.com

(Not the best option, but it'll get it done quick and painlessly.)

Ya you have a few different options. Really depends on how much bass you want and much work you want to put into the install. All of the above would work great, the tang bands are pretty decent and reasonably priced.

The TangBand 6x9 subs are decent if you're not looking for a ton of output, just more than stock can give you.
