Advice on setup for sound quality

This is my current setup

2 jl audio 12w3v3

mtx 1000xd

focal ps165 component speakers

jl audio jx360/4

I currently have stock speakers in the back but i'm planning on getting a pair of focal pc165s.

I was thinking about getting a better amp for the subs and maybe over powering them just a little. something like 600 watts each. Is that a good idea? ever since i got the focals in the front the bass just can't seem to keep up.

Is there anything else I should add to my set up to make it sound that much better? midbass speaker?

oh yeah I forgot to mention i had my front doors dynamated when i had the speakers put in. I also have a 2003 toytota tundra extra cab.

If you're going for all out SQ it's going to take more than dynamat. Read through that site as most of those things are a good foundation for SQ. If you're just looking for opinions on better sounding speakers or bigger/better bass then we can help with that too.

I read through the site as much as I can but I dont have much time on my hands. I'm looking for awesome sound quality and bumping bass.

A couple of things I would like to know.

should I get a better amp for my subs? They seem to be lacking now that i have nice components.

Any recommendations for stereo shops in the los angeles/san bernardino area?

Should i be looking into getting a midbass speaker? and if I do get one can i mount it in a box?

What do you think of my setup so far?

I'm new to car audio so take it easy on me :/

the equipment is fine, pic of the install? sub performance is determined by the install - and it is vehicle specific.

Sounds like the subs could probably benefit from a proper enclosure. And a full deadening treatment. That's what it takes if you want improved SQ.

I agree, if its anything thats an issue, its probably the install. Pretty decent equipment.
