I have a brand new audioque hd3 15 inch sub and i need advice on a good amp to run it.. i drive a 1997 honda accord. and i want it to be loud. i also need advice on the size of a box to put it in and what to tune it to. also a good capacitor for the setup. i have an optima yellowtop but i think a new altanator would help any ideas? thanks.

What's the voice coil configuration? Possibly Kicker zx or kx 2500.1 amp. 4 to 4.5 cubes at 40 hz. New alternator will definately help IF it's a good one but forget the cap.

You bought the wrong sub. Should of just went with a 12 inch instead. The box for the 15 is going to be a ***** to fit. I had a 13w7 with the JL recommended box and it didn't fit into the opening so i had to take everything including spare tire out and fit the box fitrst, then spare, covers and panels. This was in a 95 Accord. But since you already have the sub, contact Prochabo on the forum. He has an HD3 in a 96-97 Accord doing 147, if I remember correctly. Ditch the capacitor idea, upgrade the big 3, and give your sub 2500 watts, you're good to go. I think box would be 4.5 cubes tuned to 40hz.
