Advice on my JVC headunit

So i wrecked my car, and i gotta swap everything into the new one. It's the same car. For my HU (link) the 'HU to brain' cable (link) is only 8 feet long. I need it to be about 12 feet. Both ends are male, so i can't just buy another one and plug them together. Anyone know if there is some kind of extension for these? Would it not be wise to cut it and solder an extension to each individual wire? The cable from JVC is like $80 so i'm not really keen on cutting it.

ok, found the extension cable. KV-U1013 in case anyone ever has this same issue.
