Advice on AMP + Subs

I just replaced my 4 speakers with rockford fosgate punches and its now time for a AMP and SUB. I have a amp and sub somebody gave me but the amp is unmarked and the sub is blown //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif I DO know the sub is 400rms though. I could probably get away with running 1 new sub off this temporarily until I buy everything new.

I told you all that to tell you this, I need to buy a fresh set up. I was originally after kicker but from browsing around I've been turned on to Sundowns. I eventually want to run a 2x12 set up but I'm between the Ev2-12 and the SA-12 (I really don't know the differences other than price because I'm new to this)

I have a single sealed box that can fit (1) 12 right now so I'll probably buy the subs separately and and build a new box when I get both and read up more on proper box building.

Also need some pointers on picking a AMP, like I said it will be for 2 subs eventually, looking to be 400/600 rms each depending on which I pick.

Music: I listen to hip hop/rap/rock it all gets mixed in at some point.

This is a trunk set up in a 2000 Grand Marquis, space is not a problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

If you got plenty of room, here's a link to free box designs and cutouts, opt for the 3.7-4.5 cubic feet ones. Just cut, glue and screw, If you go Sundowns, you gotta do ported.

Difference between the E series and the SA series is with the SA series, you can throw well over 1000 watts rms at each sub and they will still take it. E series is entry level with less motor force and excusion but still a good entry level woofer.

Go with Sa series if you want to run 1500-2000 watts rms, meaning you'll have to do the big 3 upgrade along with an AGM battery under the hood or one in the trunk because you'll need it to keep the voltages at a safe level.

There's nothing, no markings on the amp at all? Suspect.....The e series is more of an entry level sub and the sa is an upgrade (higher rms).
The amp is a JBL CS60.4, I didnt see it before because they put it under the knobs and since I took it out of my trunk I was able to find it.

Thanks for the link, Ill probably just go with the E series since Im just looking to add bass but nothing over the top. So If I run say 2x12s of the E series then a 1000w amp is what will get the job done? Also any brands I should keep a eye out for when I'm looking around for amps?

Sundown amps are also nice if they're in your budget. I usually buy used amps to save some money. If you don't want to break the bank, PPI phantom and BK series amps are very affordable and pretty nice amps for the price.

Sorry forgot to mention budget, maybe 200? I dont know what they go for because I've never built a car audio system before but I'm willing to go a minimum of $150-max $250 if those are reasonable numbers for a 1000w. And I'll look into those ppi and bk series, Appreciate the help guys.

If I go with a PPI P1000.1, Which subs should I buy that will be compatible as far as 2D/4D? I can't honestly say I understand the difference between the two..

Amp specs are listed below:

Reminder: Ill be running 2x 12's if that matters. Appreciate the help again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif
