Advice on a system.. I'm a NOOB

I'm looking for a decent system for my 2004 Ford F-150 4 door Extended Cab. Obviously money is the biggest factor in which I dont want to spend anymore than $1,500. Preferably in the $1,200 range. I have something in mind... how would this work out for me?

A Pioneer DEHP4800MP CD Deck

Eclipse 5x7 SE8375 Speakers (Front)

Rockford-Punch480W Amp

2 12" Kicker CVR12 Subs

Custom made Truck box

How would that work out for me, also what is a good wiring kit I could get?

If this doesn't sound good, can someone give me examples of other products I can look at related to the price range..thanks in advance.

deck, i'd spend more on the deck and ditch the 5x7"s but on a budget they might work. Anyway, what i'd do with 1200 is premier 680 up front, 240ish leaves you a grand. Next, get a plate that converts your 5x7"s to fit 6.5"s and then pick up a set of say, mb quart 2-ways my preference as i loved my dsc's( i think that was the line). After that you'll have about 800ish on sub, 4- channel amp to power them and a box. Subs the comp vr's are solid subs i love mine but maybe look into Ascendant audio they make some good stuff for cheap. Next is the amp, i'd do a 2 channel amp for up front and a single sub amp for the sub. Maybe an orion 100x2 and say an orion 600D for sub duty. just a thought, i didn't look at much but it might help.

The system sounds pretty nice overall. If you are in Lubbock, I highly recommend that you check out Mike Jones @ Custom Sound Works for sub suggestions and his best idea for a custom enclosure. 806-535-5683.

mike who?

it sounds like you don't want a huge system, so i suggest picking up a 4-channel like an orion 8004. bridge the rear channels for a sub, and the front 2 will run the speakers. like said early try to use 6.5's or better yet components

I would personally go with a different H/U ..

I have the Pioneer P80MP. and it broke down right away...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I would recommend Kenwood, Eclipse or Alpine....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
