look into the mach 5 audio maw12" here they are only $96 brand new. that leaves $150 for a decent amp, you only need like 400 rms to get this sub wangin.

make sure to factor in for big power wire at last 4 guage if not 2 0r 1/0 and rca's and your set.

those are my recomendations there are plenty more and I do not know everything but I believe these products would work very well togeather and be in your price range.

i was thinking on getting a good quality amp like u suggested and start with a not so high quality sub.

for the same price range (150) , i am getting a new kenwood 9102d - 1700w peak power. what do you suggest.
