Adire ****!!!

He's in high school and driving a 2000 Audi.......
I doubt $400 is as much to him as it is to say.......a college kid living on scholarship money and ramen noodles........(me)
Ramen? Man, Ichiban is where it's at. You're slowly killing yourself from the inside with those. You'd might as well just swallow anthrax. Or kiss Mojo the helper Monkey.

Hi all, just a few clarifications:

- We have a record of 3 phone calls from Mr. Lombardo.

- The original order was placed just over 30 days ago, and the original product was delivered just over 3 weeks ago. Six weeks elapsed is a bit over-stated.

- We ship back ALL cores to the original customers. When a driver comes back, it is tagged with the customer's name, and is sent back to that customer. You received your original driver, with a new frame and soft parts. Any cosmetic damage on your driver was present when received back to us.

- Foam is used between the driver and the packing crate; this eliminates the need for the plastic cover cup.

- We offered a full refund, and that was refused.

- The last phone call you placed, a 3rd party was used as a go-between for all communications; we prefer to talk directly to the customer rather than a intermediary, to avoid confusion.

I'm out of the office until Wednesday. If you'd like to talk further about this, please call between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, PST, on Wednesday. Please call, or send me an e-mail (dwiggins@adireaudio.com) with your phone number and time I can call you.

Clarified...and obviously blown WAY out of proportion by Lombardo. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Probably more than half of your problems were from UPS or FEDEX. All the time, the car audio is seeing their higher end woofers being shipped and droped somewhere inbetween shipping and recieving. The limp wristed sallys cant carry 60 pounds that is a 16x16x16 crate.

1st problem
Brahma comes with a cracked fram.

2nd problem

It takes 5 weeks to get a replacement

3rd problem

Replacement Brahma came refurbished

4th problem

The dust cap blew off the refurbished (with tsunami db1000 at the lowest settings possible)
lol reminds me of the time I sent them my Tempest to get reconed. They emailed me back 4 months after I sent it to them.

It seems that when you put a sticker or stamp on the package that says "Fragile", in UPS language that means beat the piss out of it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

3 phone calls? Maybe 3 phones called in a couple days plus another 2 or 3.

I don't know how much work goes into redoing a whole subwoofer. But there is A LOT of wear on the frame and magnet. I.E Scratches large black marks.

I didn't buy this subwoofer used in any way shape or form. I payed $369 for a new subwoofer. People should have to expect any less.

Why would i want a full refund? I would need to pay shipping to give u back the driver. And anyhow people say it's a great driver so there's two losses.

A 3rd party phone call? What was that? Do you mean my Dad calling you? I did that because apparently a couple of your staff don't enjoy talking to a 16 year old. Example...Hey i'll leave your number with the warranty rep and he'll give you a call back. I never got a call back. I think that a situation like this is best handled with adults.

And i also feel that i'm being quite reasonable on this. People have the right to get a word out about problems relating to companies. That way other people know these problems and the company also has feedback to improve upon.

just a comment on this...hope dan sees it.

have you guys thought of doing a different packaging for your drivers? i dont know if the huge, hunking wood setup is the best way to do it. i read the thing on eDs website about why they use ALL LIGHTWEIGHT packing and they havent had any problems. and i sure as hell havent heard any people reporting mangled eD drivers...but ive heard a lot about broken brahmas and RE products...including the 15 sent to my house. just a thought.

Elemental Designs does brag about their shipping tecnhniques and they are the only company I haven't heard of customers receiving damaged drivers in the mail. Adire seems to top the list... so they must be doing something wrong in the packaging. I wouldn't buy an Adire sub just on the basis of all the people who get them and there's marks or scratches on them or they don't work and need to be sent back. The "shit happens" doesn't work for me when there are other companies that are just as good and can get their product to me in one piece.

good point...sometimes 'shit happens' a little too much with one company and then someone needs to make changes.
