We're getting closer and closer to "Idiocracy."

WASHINGTON (AP) — NASA's online contest to name a new room at the international space station went awry. Comedian Stephen Colbert won.
The name "Colbert" beat out NASA's four suggested options in the space agency's effort to have the public help name the addition. The new room will be launched later this year.

NASA's mistake was allowing write-ins. Colbert urged viewers of his Comedy Central show, "The Colbert Report" to write in his name. And they complied, with 230,539 votes. That clobbered Serenity, one of the NASA choices, by more than 40,000 votes. Nearly 1.2 million votes were cast by the time the contest ended Friday.

NASA reserves the right to choose an appropriate name. Agency spokesman John Yembrick said NASA will decide in April, but will give top vote-getters "the most consideration."

The USA, where a comedian can get a space station room named for him, and a guy with no experience can get elected President.
Voting at its best...
The movie "Man of the Year" combines both. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

In all seriousness, I would have voted for Colbert over any other candidate for president. If you think any candidate that any major party has provided in recent history is qualified or intelligent, you are naive and ignorant. You are electing a celebrity, nothing more. You might as well be voting for American Idol.

I hope Colbert runs next time, I'll be voting for him. He is more qualified than anyone else and I would trust him more than anyone else.

Not the best movie in the world, but it represents a very real and important concept that everyone should be aware of. Though I think it was directed more towards Jon Stewart, I think it applies more to Stephen Colbert.
