adding xm radio and ipod

ok what do i need to buy in order to add xm radio and an ipod to my alpine 9835 without having anything like the xm control unit attached to my dash?i know you can add either through the port where you would connect a changer but how do i connect both?

Not real sure if Sirius works the same way but on my 9830 I plugged in the box to the HU and you have a run through you can attach the Ipod to.

If you go to Crutchfield they have the XM radio package with the tuner(not the control face) and ant. The you just need a patch cable for your ipod and plug it into the tuner and you're done.
