I’ve never been impressed with shallow mount subs, however it has been a long time since I’ve heard any. As I mentioned in other threads, I have a 12” FI Q (older version) powered by a teramps 3000.1.

The current enclosure is just a bit too big, as it was built for another vehicle.

I am trying to save up to get a smaller enclosure built for it now. I am thinking it will reduce the performance, so I am wondering if I could add some shallow mounted tens under the rear seats and make up for the loss. (Down the road, when funds permit). Or,,, would it even be worth it??

The enclosures I found seem pretty small, as far as volume.

Maybe this??

Again, I really don’t know much about them. Maybe running one, instead of two, would be better.

that was my sub enclosure, this is my current box.totally enclosed.
It's best to show the finished product rather than the work in-between to show off a standard a person could reach.
With that said, if they ask for a how to and want something like yours, that photo you did show would be fine to show a process up until the refined version.
