Adding box volume with polyfil

I need to nearly double the volume of my box from 125L to 260L. How do I know how much polyfil I need to add and how do I add it? Do I glue it to the wall or just let it free float around in the box. Does it damage the subwoofer if it touches it or does it not matter. TIA, i've never needed to work with polyfil before.

Not going to work . You will need to build a bigger box to gain that much air space.

you cant use polyfill to substitute for airspace, you have to build a bigger spec box for your driver

Polyfil makes minute, sometimes inaudible changes in the sound. Doubling the size of your box is FAR too drastic a change to expect polyfil to even come close to working. Not gonna happen, period.

If you cannot accomodate the box size required, by half, you need a whole new plan dude. Sorry. Trying going with fewer drivers, or going sealed, etc.

polyfiill just pretty much tricks the driver to think it's in a smaller airspace than it is it doesnt increase airspace

if you fill the box about 3/4 full putting it in lightly (not packing it in) it will give you the equivilent of about 20% more volume but thats about the max youl get
