Adding Big Rims?

I'm thinking about getting some 20+ inch rims for my Achieva... I've always liked chrome rims and that's what I'd like to buy but I don't know how big the rims should be :/

Does anyone else have any ideas on where I could get some wheels and if I'd need to lift it?

I got a set of 22's with my new sled I traded my truck for. They will never touch the hubs I'm not a donk guy. Plus you have an achieva why would you put 20's on that.

I'm not a donk guy.
That is one style I just don't get. 30" rims on a camaro it's cool, what if I threw 32" mud tires on it is it still cool? Basically the same look. I try and respect all types of customization but I just don't get it in this case.

With that being said, op it's your car not ours, do what you like and don't worry about anyone else. I imagine you will have to lift to fit 20s.

You can get an idea of what you could fit from this http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/

General rule of thumb is that your rims have to be twice as big as your subs and 5 times bigger than your **** is long. So the set of nice stock 16's should do you fine

I think rims that big are pretty ridiculous, but I was just wondering other thoughts on adding rims to my car. I also like to look of 20's because they "fill up the wheel well" and have better designs than the 18's that I've seen... Stock rims on my car are 15's and 16's aren't any better.

17's should fill your wheel wells just fine it's all tire size also. A nice meaty sidewall will make the car ride better and protect the wheels from potholes much better.

Get some Kicka$$ 22" Spinners on the bltch! Some gold plated ones with one of the bearings seized up one so 3 spin and one stays still. Yeah that's definitely the ticket! You go boy!

Just looked at that tire calculator and the 20's I'd be looking at would be as big as the stock ones. And yes, I have thought about the whole pothole factor (after all, I live in Minnesota). Spinners would be nice but if one was seized up... No, not a good idea lol.

I'd look for 17 or 18" wheels and then get tires that aren't paper thin. Ridiculously low profile tires mean a hard ride, poor handling, easier wheel damage, harder to mount. They're just pointless. Get some 17" with real tires on there and you'll have a full wheel well. 20" will look retarded. You can obviously do whatever you want with your car, but people will just laugh at 20" rims on it.

If I find some nice 18's, I'd probably buy them because it would be better in the long run and I wouldn't have to replace them from bends as fast... I do disagree about people laughing at it with 20's though....

go 18s with some lower profile tires...I personally like 225/45/18 for the tires. If you still feel like your wheel well isn't filled up, then get some lowering springs. Probably about the same cost of 20" rims and tires to do 18s and lower it, but doesn't sacrifice other things in the car i.e. transmission etc. The one thing that suuucks is trying to find the wheels you want in person before you buy them. Always be sure to do this. A wheel could look good online, but look like loose butthole in person.
