Adding another battery, Kinetik. Model ???

Adding another battery to my car. Confused on the Kinetik model #'s.

I want the Kinetik KHC1400, but I found a marine battery that's the same price but it's 1800 amps, KM24.

Should I go KM24 or KHC1400? What's the different with the Marine battery?

They're around the same price($4-6 difference).

I don't know which one you should grab, but they're not the same price. The HC1400 is $150 shipped, and the other is $150 + shipping. after you add that on it'll prolly be $30-$60 more.

And the hc1400 also comes with wingnut terminals, not the standard battery posts like pictured. I ordered one a few weeks ago.

The KM24 is $164.61 shipped to my house. Might be free shipping since they're 1 hr 30 minutes away from me.

I would venture to guess that the kinetik would be more reliable in a car audio application.

Considering thats what they're made for. Its sort of like using a napkin instead of paper to write on. Yeah it'll work...

So does anyone know if I can use the Kinetik KM24 marine battery(same specs as the HC1800) in my car?

I have a red top up front that works great, just want to add a deep cycle battery. I also know that I will have to use an isolator.

How much power? If you're doing okay with just your redtop, you probably don't need that big of a battery. I'd just stick to the kinetik...tried and true.

And you don't need an isolator.

what car and size alternator? with 860 watts, a second battery isn't quite necessary. have you've done the "big-3" already too?

alternator is 110 amp

Should I just replace the red top instead of adding a second battery? I mean, a second battery isn't going to hurt and I can use the red top up front(starting battery)

for 860 watts a hc800 or hc1200 kinetik should be good to go as a second battery.
