whats up.

i currently have a jl 250/1 pusing a jl13.5w3

i bought another amp and sub for the highs

do i have to buy another wiring kit and run the wires from the battery to the trunk again

or

can i run a wire from the amp power input from amp1 to the power input on amp2

you need a distro block. based on your knowledge i am assuming you did not install the first amp. chances are you will need a bigger power/ground wire as well with the second amp.
