Adding aeroport(s) to a sealed box?

I have a:

Height: 13"

Width: 30"

Depth(top): 16"

Depth(bottom): 19"

sealed box ( http://i52.tinypic.com/a3nqbl.jpg sorry for the crappy microsoft paint drawing )

that I would like to add an aerport(s) to, but I have no idea where to put the port(s) and how long/diameter of a port to use. This is going into a 1999 Toyota Camry (the back seats can go down). It is running a Hifonics BXi 1606D, with 2 12" Alpine Type-Rs.

Let me know!

Please don't suggest me building a new box. I don't have the money...and if this IS a stupid idea to do, tell me. I just want a ported box that slams harder than it already is.

Disregard about buying the aeroports or mdf and making a new box.

I just want to know if I am able to do this and have it functionally correctly and slamming hard.

What if I were to install the aeroports as seen in the picture below?

Sorry for crappy microsoft paint again. LOL

I just need to know how many aeroports and the diameter of each to have it at least in the 30-40 hz

please dont have the port going into the box on the opposite face from the subs, have it on the side if you have to. A single 6" port is better than multiple smaller ones. Just realize that the smaller your box(like yours) needs a longer port to tune low. I wouldnt go any lower than 34hz tuning. You may need to use plumbing elbows to get the port to bend for room

that box is on the small side for a pair of r's ported.
personally, i would just stick with the sealed one until you have a budget to build a new box.

just my .02
idk what the **** a budget is, if he was thinking about adding 2 aeros then he can afford a $30 sheet of fiber

a sheet of MDF is like $35, and a box for two 12's will be pretty close if your good at cutting, I have seen people use areo ports on the external so, what he wants can be done. If it is a little off, of well, I doubt he will notcie that since the addition of the ports on the external would greatly inprove the sound anyways. I would give it a shot. Besides, he can always build a new box later and reuse the areo ports....
