My car has a factory double din HU. I am changing out all the stereo. Doors, tweets, and adding sub. My buddy gave me his old Pioneer Premier deh-8600mp. It already has a 13 band eq and crossovers. I would like to fill the gap in the dash without a ill fitting trim piece. I just don't know if it is worth the money to invest in a processor. BTW right know I am going passive with CDT HD-642 3-way compontent set and 1 IDQ12. I haven't found a crossover that goes high enough to control my tweets or I would think about going active. This is my first real stereo build so I am kinda leary about getting in over my head with active.
