Adding a 2nd battery....

yeah but that goes against common sense in my mind dave.
if you are going to have a moderately powered system or higher... unless your burping... why would you beat music with your vehicle off?
Some people like to sit in parking lots and let it pund with the engine off(wouldn't want to waste any gas). It is retarded to me too but I guees its one of those things to try to idiot proof your ride.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I have seen alot of idiots burn those glass fuses that way.

Which fuses are you referring to? It always makes me laugh seeing people playing there stereos full tilt in the parking lot, I had a friend bragging about his friend having like 4 battereis in the back of his escalade and he would play it all out and the batteries would drain in 10 minutes. He actually tried to use it as a way of comparing stereos:wow:

isolators are bad also in my opinion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif parallel is the only way to go.

kinda like this.http://shopproducts.howstuffworks.com/American-Terminal-Agu-40-10-Agc-Standard-Glass-Fuses-40-Amp/SF-1/PID-35162453

thats dumb as a way of comparison.

i just wired my nsb in parallel. meh. I don't beat like that. and when I want to hear it I turn it on anyways... I don't turn it up my neighborhood... gotta have more respect than that for others.
Yeah when I get my rear batts I'm going to have them in parallel if you use your head you don't need any isolator, its just something else to go wrong. I show respect for my neighbors as well but I don't have to worry about it much the nearest house is about 300 yards away.

..unless you have a mil. spec truck, then the only was to go is to wire them in series lol

anyway for the whole relay thing here ya go:

"Easy way to control your dual battery current.

These Painless Performance dual battery current control systems include a three position switch to control the second battery through the operation of the solenoid. Switch position one isolates the second battery. Position two connects the batter while the ignition is on. Position three connects the second battery at all times."

If I were you in a 12v vehicle for your purposes, unless you like to sit in your car w/ the engine off, I would just wire them in parallel and call it a day.

We were referring to wiring the batteries in parallel in relation to the multiple batteries.

How might I ask?
Are YOU serious?
Does nobody in this thread understand how a relay could help a multi battery setup? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

sorry for being a noob.... i've been wanting to do this for a while. all i have to do is take my 0/1 pos from the front and put it on neg of second battery. then take the pos from second batt to the dist block, and neg of second batt goes to frame? that can't be right.... someone wanna straighten this up for me?
