adding 2 more speakers to my stock HU

Hello,

I have an 03 Trailblazer without bose and i have a 2 12" kickers in a bandbass box hooked up to a Lanzar Vibe 240 800 Watt. The subs are tapped off the rear speakers on the stock HU. I wanna add 2 more 6x9 speakers in the trunk and i was wondering if i can just tap off the rear speakers again. Also the amp has 2 RCA line out jacks next to the RCA line in jacks i was wondering if i can use those RCA jacks?

You could use the jacks but you probably would not be pleased with the outcome. You have to remember that the amp is using up most of the input so sq will ****. As for adding the 6x9s why are you wanting to? Being a factory HU you are not going to really be able to hear them especailly with subs. But If you still want to yes that will work(tapping into the rear speakers that is)

i just tried adding one 6x9 to one of the RCA out jacks and all it did was cause a loud noise from the subs.

Yeah whenever you tap off of an existing speaker and/or get one of those Line Output Converter (speaker wire to rca converters) it always decrease the sound quality i wouldn't recommend it

LOC decreases sound quality? Are you sure about that?

you cant run a speaker off the line out, that is meant to go to another amplifier

if you really want to add 6x9's ot the back add another 2 channel amp. A better bet though would be to get a 4 channel and upgrade all your existing speakers and use amp power
