Going to be adding 2 batteries for my new setup, heres a basic rundown:

-1/0 run to back from front battery, fused within 18" up front, and 18" within the first back battery

-battery one, to battery two, posi to posi, neg to neg in 1/0

-From battery 2, 4 gauge to speaker amp, 1/0 to sub amp, both runs fused.

- neg 4 gauge from speaker amp, neg 1/0 from sub amp, both into distribution block with either 2 runs of 1/0 headed out of it, or 3 runs of 4 gauge headed to neg post on 2nd battery depending how much 1/0 i got left.

batterys are 130Ah each, front ones a yellow top i think 80ah,so around 320 ah total, to run around 2500 watts RMS.

I forgot to mention I'm grounding the 2nd battery to a metal part of the car

Should I ground both neg terminals to the car, or just 1?

lol was about to say the diagram shows no "actual" grounds. personally id ground each battery individually to car, and ground amps individually to car, no dist block needed. The easier it is to go from pos to neg and "recycle" power into a ground the better.

BTW i dont think 2 fuses are needed on the run of wire from front to back but im not sure.

Sorry to bump an old post, but just had to point out that 2 fuses are definitely needed on the pos run from front to back. If you only fuse at the front, then any short in the line will still draw power from the rear battery even with the front fuse blown. In runs like that you really should fuse at every battery, just like you should fuse every run from a secondary battery to each amp.
