Added Speakers but they I need amp for audio from all??

when i installed my first system i ditched the rears.

i don't miss 'em one bit.

Anyways... any number or speakers can be run off any number of amplifier channels... if you've got 2 mids and 1 tweet per side, i'd run the mids off of one channel and the tweets on their own channels for a total of 2 mids per channel and 1 tweet per channel.

i mean theres no reason why the bose tweeters wouldn't work... they are tweets just like all other tweets... they **** but hey.......

yeah...they do ****..but i just want them to work. So if u (Leon) are sure the bose tweeters can be hooked up to my HU. The BB people said i only have 4 channels, so those tweeters arent going to work because my 4 channels are going to my 4 working speakers. Thats why they said i need an amp

yes they are right about you needing 6 channels because the hu only has 4 and you have six speakers. if you are using coaxials up front, theres no reason why you would need to run the tweeters as the coaxials already have tweeters on the middle of their cone....

i thought you had components and the tweeters broke my bad, but instead you have coaxials upfront with a set of tweeters.

your welcome... and if the fronts shouldn't sound too weird with coaxials... they are designed for full range meaning you don't need tweeters... so instead of getting new 1" tweeters, stay with just the type-s for the front, save up for a while and get a component set... less money, less time, and no screwed up sound stage...

im just going to buy an amp so the factory tweeters will work. Than i might upgrade later. The alpines work fine for me. I'm going to get a sub, so the alpines in the front will not be used for bass

no, you don't understand... theres more to it than just buying an amp... first, the biggest problem you'll face is power handling, the factory tweet is really really really sensative and is probably designed to run off of like 1-5 watts... if you amp that, you'll burn it to a crisp. also this is all you need

type s in the front

what ever speakers you have in the back...

subwoofer

2 channel amp for the type s upfront

that's it, no more, no less

but the sound of the vocals isnt good without the tweeters. I need those top/front tweeters to really bring everything out. I'll replace the factory tweets w/ something better so they wont burn out

If its imaging you are after (hearing the vocals up higher) Then I would return those coaxials and get a component set. That'll replace both the woofer (bottom speaker) and the tweeter. It'll give you the imaging you are after.

yeah. live in Silver Spring. LOL...I'm about to go crazy w/ this process because it seems like i've stepped into water i thought was shoe deep and turns out it's chest deep. AHHH!!! On top of that, Best Buy says they won't touch my dash speakers because the company doesnt allow it. IF I GET THE ALPINES SPR-17LS (Type R) http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=SPR-17LS ....will these do the freakin trick??? Jesus!!
