They are lying, the red top actually does the job, my friend has on on a 2200 watt amp. no dimming lights.

The red will work but it will die well before it's time it was not meant to have that kind of stress on it you really should have bought the right battery to begin with look on the sight for optima there is a very big difference in there battery's builds depending on your applications.
