If your batt is old or worn, you dont want to be paralleling a new batt up to it. Replace it.

any oem battery can take that easily. I run 2000rms on my stock battery, stock alt, and upgraded big 3 wiring.

I say keep your battery you have, and do the big 3 in 4gauge or even 2 guage if you can afford it...

You dont need anything more for that kind of power at all

I was fine with my stock battery and added 600 kinetik with big 3 done. Only did the 2400 being I got a killer price and well haven't noticed any difference really.

They will likely get an uneven charge, and you wont get everything out of your nice new fancy battery that you would have otherwise, but sure you CAN do it.. if you really want to.
