Active Sub with remote

Hi

I'm looking for a small-ish 10" active sub for my Mazda 6. But it has to have a remote as my wife doesn't like too much bass (so I can turn it down when she's in the car).

Any recommendations, don't want to spend more than say $200.

Thanks

Andy

idk...new wife?

Mine is not a huge fan either so I alternate between cranking it up some days and other days keeping it down.

I have not heard an active sub that I thought was worth installing, they just put out a very small amount of bass.

Terrible. I installed one from a buddy. First one was a DOA. 2nd worked fine but output was terrible.
The output just isn't much.

Perhaps a small hatchback corner loaded it would be something but most of the installs I have seen and heard have them in a suv

Active sub??

Oh I get it. A preloaded sub w/ enclosure and built in amp.

Might be better off getting a small driver, an 8" sub and a small amp to power it. Have someone design you an enclosure for that sub. Bet it would do 1000 times better than what's on the market.

do u want small or just cheap because ct sounds has some packages sub, box and amp for like $150,$199 on amazon..they bigger than those little thing but have great reviews and the amps don't look bad either.. friend had kicker 12 unit mentioned in truck i thought it sounded like a 6".. same thing i told him if u gonna run wire or pay someone to do run more than 10 ga and run it to an amp not 8" thick box that don't do much.. infinity has really nice ported 12 $119 but u need amp[ for it and it has big box so if space is consideration i'd get a fair cheap amp and a 12 in a wedge truck box do more than those bass link type deals..

Thanks for all the replies. I can't afford to lose a lot of space but I want to add to the inadequate bass that my Bose Mazda 6 has. I mainly listen to rock/metal so I'm thinking a sealed box would be best? Happy to go with separate amp just thought an all in one would be easier. But I guess that would be a compromise?

I've ordered a LC1 so that takes care of the wife [emoji23], thank you.
