im going active with my xxx mids and somt tweets. i need help picking the following, tweets, crossover, and amp for tweets. i already have amp for my mids. (will be bi amping) any help of info would be great. the mids are gonna be sealed in some pods im gonna start tomorrow.

For tweets; Vifa, Seas, LPG, Max Fidelity and Dayton RS series are all good options. I'd probably go for the Dayton RS series tweeter here since it handles down to around a 1600hz crossover point with a 4th order (24db/oct) crossover rather well, which would allow you to keep the lowpass xover point on the XXX rather low. http://www.partsexpress.com to check them out

Crossover and amps depend on your budget. Audiocontrol makes good units, but their resistor packs are a PITA, but has 24db/oct slopes. Coustic XM6 is a good option aswell, but only has 18db/oct slopes IIRC. Or you could find a headunit that has all of the necessary xovers built in.

As I said before......we need a budget.

Alpine H701 would be great for you.....but it runs ~$700. Pioneer P9 combo would be great for you, but it runs ~$1500.

It will work.

However, I do believe it uses those resistor packs rather than a pot to adjust xover frequency. Which means every time you want to change the xover frequency, you have to build/buy and install a new resistor pack.

So, if you don't already know exactly what xover frequencies you will be using.....you can imagine how many packs you'll have to be building/buying/switching......not exactly user friendly or time saving......

nope 100 and actual shipping is the least I'd take. How much can you give them. NOah's XXX mids sound good, they probably have .2 actual, my extremi are in .52 and get MUCH lower.
